Our Story
The idea for Butterfly Bubs began while I was pregnant with our baby girl, Elsie. I was on the hunt for a pram liner that was not only unique but also offered a personal touch. Everything I found felt a bit too ordinary—basic patterns and common designs that didn’t quite reflect our style. I had my heart set on something special, like a Lord of the Rings-themed pram liner to match Elsie’s nursery.
That’s when the idea was born. I began researching how to print my own designs onto organic, baby-safe fabrics. I wanted something that was soft, safe, and completely unique—just like Elsie. From that journey, her custom pram liner came to life, and so did Butterfly Bubs: a brand inspired by creativity, comfort, and the magic of making something truly personal for your little one.
I started out on the floor of our study, cutting fabric by hand and sewing each stitch on an old Brother sewing machine. There were plenty of mistakes in those early days as I taught myself how to make pram liners from scratch. I began by offering custom liners for the Uppababy Vista V2 and Redsbaby Jive on Etsy—just to get a feel for the process. And I fell completely in love with it!
What began as a passion project has now grown into a collection of over 90 pram liner models, with designs made to suit a wide range of styles and pram types.
